Had my vehicle dropped off on the weekend. When I spoke to the shop on the phone to discuss the truck they were extremely rude to the point of yelling. Paid to have truck towed to another shop just to avoid using them.

You are obviously upset but we tried hard to explain to you that your father had just given us the unlock code for the door (keys were locked inside) just moments before you called us. We could not get a word in because you expected the truck to have been diagnosed already and again would not let us explain the truck had not been looked at just yet and that the service writer had only started the truck and there was no light on excepted the check engine light and he noticed it may have been misfiring. No battery light as you explained and that we needed to get it in to diagnose what was going on. You said you knew already that it needed an alternator because you are a mechanic. I don't know what is wrong without looking into it, and I do know how mad customers get when we just install parts and then call and say the light is on and it is still not charging, would you like me to look at it now. We had a full schedule and we were trying to get it worked into the schedule. We could not have fixed it without being able to get into the vehicle and we need to ensure that all customers are in our schedule. Sorry we could not help. We do strive to do our best and I think if we could have explained that we could have helped you out. Thank you

I brought my Ford Fusion to Johnson’s Automotive to repair an issue with the vehicle clunking when turning. They investigated the problem, called me with specific details regarding what they found, and recommendations for repair. They gave an accurate estimate for cost, and stayed within scope of requested repairs. The vehicle was dropped off, serviced, and picked up on the same day. Their communication, speed of service, and professionalism is excellent. I would recommend Johnson’s to anyone requiring auto service in the Big Rapids area.

Great people down at Johnson’s. They really seem to put their customer’s problem in context. I brought in my Toyota RAV4 yesterday evening for what seemed like fuel pump issues. Being from out of town, I was itching to get back home as soon as I could. Bill heard me out on that, managed to fix the problem temporarily without having to do any servicing, and had the car back to me by the next morning; I didn’t have to miss more than a day of work and school because of that. Huge thanks for that kind of quality service. If I ever have trouble in Big Rapids again, I know where I’ll go.

Very, very rude. I asked one question and they cut me off and spark a attutude. Sorry I'm a teenager out on my own with only a part time job and no experience with cars thanks for making me feel like Less of a person. I will NEVER even try to go here for anything.

Thank you for telling us your honest opinion. That is wrong of us to come across in this way. I am sorry when we did this, and I believe it did happen. I will say that this behavior has been addressed and should not continue. We strive to make things easy and I am sorry if your experience was anything less then that.
